It is essential for me to discover myself in new surroundings. Trying new things and embarking on “not so familiar” ventures, as much as possible, instills growth. Whether it’s trying out a new restaurant, traveling, a new recipe, a new hobby, I live my life according to a quote I once read: “When was the last time you did something for the first time?”

New Orleans has never been on my “Must See Cities” list. I usually spend time obsessing about New York, Miami, and California –places that people will automatically name for having vibrancy and a array of character. So I decided to try something “not so familiar,” & venture out to Louisiana. I wanted to see what this “NOLA” was really about. I imagined it would be extremely vibrant based on what I had seen prior to visiting. Before venturing out to NOLA, I wanted to create an image of what I imagined myself to look like while in New Orleans. I enjoy dressing up in harmony with the vibe of my surroundings. Unfortunately the Georgia weather interrupted my NOLA vibes.
